About TEP Charter School
TEP aims to put into practice the central conclusion of a large body of research related to student achievement: teacher quality is the most important school-based factor in the academic success of students, particularly those from low-income families. In singling out teacher quality as the essential lever in educational reform, TEP is uniquely focused on attracting and retaining master teachers. To do so, TEP uses a three-pronged strategy that it terms the 3 R’s: Rigorous Qualifications, Redefined Expectations, & Revolutionary Compensation. first NFL game ever: jets vs browns.
highlight of the games: 3 slightly chubby female cleveland fans standing and cheering for their browns in the 1st quarter. guys from behind kept yelling at them. best line was "sit down, lose some weight!" they were so much quieter after that and left like a dozen times to go buy more beer.

very strange thing happened in 4th quarter. w/ 1:43 left the jets were down 17-12, 4th and 10 in the red zone, 3 timeouts left. i joke to my buddy, "field goal!" he laughs but his smile drops quickly as the field goal unit proceeds onto the unit. were both thinking "what the heck?" in mangini's bizarre, twisted logic he elects to go for the field goal in the opponents red zone w/ less than 2 min left. they had already gotten lucky w/ their last onside kick so i guess he thinks they can easily repeat that feat. idiotic logic i guess. nugent hits the field goal, browns recover onside kick, jamal lewis scores, 24-15, nugent gets another field goal w/ 37 seconds left but final score 24-18. shouldve added nugent to my fantasy squad, i wouldve been cheering like crazy. this game was the epitome of the emotions of a jets fan.

"lose some weight!" haha, its still making me laugh...

THANKS
mr. clementi for taking me to my first NFL game.

JOY
watching kobe bryant go off is always an exciting thing to watch. luckily the lakers were on national tv two nights in a row, tnt thursday and espn friday. i miss fox sports and kcal. makes me want to get nba league pass again. then id get to see kobe drain a pull-up 3 in a defenders face, split multiple defenders, swish fadeaways, hit off-balance and 1 shots all the time.

but what ive been noticing this year is that kobe doesnt seem to have that killer look as much. he kind of straggles around the court a lot, doesnt get back on D right away. i think hes lost some of his competitive edge, the frustration from the mistakes of his teammates and the losses are taking a toll on his desire to win. only once in a while when the game is close and on the line do we see "killer instinct kobe mode." makes me believe that kobe will walk in 2 seasons unless the lakers make a major acquisition. its ridiculous that the lakers management put themselves in this position: forcing out shaq (possibly the best big man in nba history) and letting kobe walk (arguably the best basketball player ever).

why does phil always let his 2nd squad play through? why not put in kobe before the lead gets out of hand? i think phil jackson made a mistake of signing a two-year extension. he shouldve signed only a one-year extension, he might be coaching a team full of scrubs. i personally think that the lakers shouldnt extend jacksons contract at all. they need a change, screw the triangle, they need DEFENSIVE changes. bring in larry brown, a coach w/ winning experience and a defensive mindset. i say this as the 3rd quarter rolls to an end w/ the jazz dropping 102 points on the lakers. 102 points in 3/4 of a game. not only that but this is w/out boozer and okur. can you really blame kobe?

after seeing the highlights of the knicks beating the bucks the night after getting blown out bill walton said, "contract extensions for everybody on the knicks!"

"Usually I give out awards at the end of the year, but somebody won the 'Best Interview of the Century' award this summer. If you guys haven't seen it, you need to search 'Marbury interview' on YouTube. If you don't think this is the best interview in history, something is mentally wrong with you. It was so good, I watched it 12 times just to make sure that what I was watching was actually real and I wasn't imagining it.

He's like, 'I'm going to average 10 points, 11-12 dimes, four assists '' And I'm like, 'What? Last time I checked, dimes and assists were the same thing.' Then he answers his cell phone in the middle of the interview. And at the end he just starts screaming, 'Do it with me now! Do it with me!' I had to rewind it just to make sure it was really Stephon Marbury on there. So, I present Steph with the "Interview of the Century" Hibachi Award!"

sorry, couldnt find the full interview...

"On the residential rental side...in mid-August, the market couldn't be better. The rental market in Manhattan, which had a vacancy rate of 0.81 percent in July, according to Citi Habitats, could benefit marginally from the subprime mortgage scourge."

i just saw 6 cops take down some big dude from my apartment. i heard this guy yelling for a while and finally when i look out a cop was spraying him w/ pepper spray while he ran into the middle of the intersection. then 5 other cops chase him and take him down. it was totally like the tv show cops in the middle of the street on 34th and 2nd. now theres like a dozen cop cars, a fire truck, a ton of spectators, and a whole mess of traffic.

i need to move. hook me up w/ a new apt please.
